Visa and Mastercard fucking everybody
|
Mutha Fucker...doesn't that just figure......lol

Think of alternatives of the CC, like mobile SMS billing. Available at the United Kingdom and The Netherlands. More countries will follow, but already 50.000.000 + customers.
Give it a try, cost you nothing. OK, it's a little bit new, but new things good be very interesting. |
I can't wait for more competition to surface. Fuck Visa and Mastercard.
|
credit cards should use a pin system.
|
And when I loaded the page to read the article...the sponsor of the article? None other than an MSN VISA card :1orglaugh

...demanding that merchants take their debit cards or lose access to credit-card sales.
Anyone here listen to the Jerky boys? This sounds like the one where Frank Rizzo is calling to get a job as a used car salesman. The guy asks him how he sells cars. So Frank says, "I slam thier head down on the hood, and I say, ' buy this fuckin car or I'll break your fuckin head'. Hey don't laugh, it works." Well, apparently Frank Rizzo is right.l I can just see Visa reps now, going down to Texas, in some small town, roughing up ma a nd pa's general store. "You'll fuckin use our cards only, or I'll break your fuckin head" |

I've been using Discover, exclusively, for the last two months or so. It's not much, but hey, I'd rather someone else get my business...

V / MC has (back) charged brick and mortar businesses 1-2-3% of the amount that was charged for years. "Right to accept their cards" or some nonsense. :1orglaugh
That hadn't soaked all the way in until we were talking about it here last night. One of our friends loses up to 8% of his sales profits that way. :( And they have to agree to NOT jack up their prices to try and recoup it!!!! Thieves comes to mind! |
This antitrust litigation is nothing new... It was began by large companies such as Walmart many years ago.
Anyone with a merchant account has the option of joining the class-action. I have joined it. |

Anyone else find it amusing that WALMART the biggest of the big boys that like to push people around are heading up this lawsuit? :1orglaugh

"Shut up you stupid Walmart, or I'll punch you!"
"MOM!! Visa is picking on me again. HE says he's going to hit me" "Well, hit him back." I was going to draw a nice cartoon depicting my above 3 line play. But I just can't draw. But it would look like a R.Crumb cartooon. |

If you don't have a merchant account, you can't join. Using a 3rd-party such as Ibill doesn't count. |

Ok, fine, a lot of us have merchant accounts....any one have any idea how much doe we might see if VISA loses? Is it gonna take years? |
this part is VERY funny:
"To consumers at the cash register, Visa and MasterCard?s versions of debit cards look and can appear to work like credit cards. But when used that way, they impose fees on retailers that are far higher than conventional debit cards, which electronically draw cash instantly from consumers? checking accounts. Visa and MasterCard?s debit-card transactions withdraw money from checking accounts but use an offline, signature-based system. Retailers say that forces them to pay billions of dollars a year in extra processing charges, costs they say they must pass on to customers." uh, they already do this for every single item in their store. they boost their prices by 2% or so to make up for the credit card cost. if we use so-called "conventional debit cards", we're giving them an additional 2% or so profit. how funny. |
I wonder how long it will be before the EU gets in on the action. Those boys hate anything like this.
