Well... are you gonna start calling Obama a War Criminal for escalating troop deployment in Afghanistan, for aerial drone attacks on villages, innocent people being killed etc?

I mean... Bush is a war criminal for the exact same thing right? there is no excuses and "collateral damage" is just another way of saying "genocide" right?

So... is Obama now the new terrorist?

I can understand how this will irritate and you'll be irrationally defensive since you have no real argument... but at least try to formulate some sort of well reasoned reply that might provoke some thought on the subject and offer some insight into the differences between the position that Bush is a war criminal and Obama isn't. i'm curious. We can rule out hypocrisy right away since thats just not a trait liberals possess... so i must be missing something.

Canadians have been losing lives fighting in afganistan for years. Its about time they get some back up. Everyone knows that the 911 attacks were in part funded by the taliban which is the main "power" in afganistan. Not sure what Iraq had to do with it though.

By the saudi government? I don't think so. They are more concerned with making money than blowing stuff up for religious reasons. If the saudi government is protecting and helping the groups who funded them, there is something to look at but I think we know that due to the US's close relation to the saudi's..nothing will happen.

Pakistan's intelligence service CREATED the Taliban and that country has no control of their territory that borders Afghanistan, just to put it in perspective. I personally think we shouldn't have invaded Afghanistan, just bombed Al Qaeda sites day and night for a few weeks and left it at that. Same deal with Iraq if we were worried about their ability to produce WMDs. Blast them into the Stone Age with all the fancy stand-off weapons we developed during the Cold War and they won't have the industrial base to build nukes. But instead, we invade and occupy two countries and now may be fighting Iran and Pakistan next. WTF?

So if this was still Bushes last term, you'd also have made the thread.. right? hehe

It's not that. I think it's called transference, or placing blame on one person, or something to that effect (it's still early for me ok?) when it really involves more than one person making the decisions. This is especially true if u have voted. If u had voted for either Obama, or Bush or whomever, we should all then be held accountable for war crimes or for any for that matter. Moreover, even if a President calls the shots, someone else has to execute orders as well, so therefore they should be held accountable as well.

Ending statement: Can't blame things on one person, see if u can fix it urself. If u can't, ur not trying hard enuff... our minds are capable of exceptional things, our physical bodies are something else. :)
