I just bought my first bike, a Honda 600RR tuned to about 119 hp. Not much to many, but good for a beginner like myself! :thumbsup

i certainly do not look at the rr as a beginner's bike. in fact, i'd say that's overkill for a beginner.

woj 02-19-2009 12:26 PM

nice ride :thumbsup

HorseShit 02-19-2009 12:27 PM

C-Bass 02-19-2009 12:48 PM

I dont like the new monsters. The generation before was way cooler.

Enjoy it none the less, and be safe on it.

The 600rr is a great choice. Hondas are the easiest to learn on IMO. I started my sport bikes on a F4i (bought in Tucson actually) and ended up getting the 1000RR because I am a big guy and wanted the extra power. Once I knew how to ride I upgraded to the R1 and never looked back. Faster and more responsive.

The new Ducati 999 is a sweet ride. :thumbsup

right on! they had a used 1098r superbike that was about the same price & was tempted but i like the traditionally air-cooled models and the naked style. i'll track this bike too.

you are actually a good candidate for learning how to ride a motorcycle properly- you have a healthy concern re: the dangers of riding and have yet to be taught incorrect techinque .

the absolute best way to learn is to take the motorcycle safety foundation's beginner bike course. they provide all the safety gear AND a small displacement motorcycle for you to learn on.

you should go for it, there's nothing like riding a motorcycle
