Software equivilant of a cookie cutter for cropping photos?

I want to be able to open a folder of images, choose a shape, lets say a square for example.

And quickly select the area of the photo I want cropped and click to crop/save/

For MAC preferably

Are you looking for something other than PhotoShop?

If you don't have photoshop you could open them up in iPhoto and do basic cropping. Could even automate it if needed with automator.

ImageMagick. convert.

convert -crop 400x300 hello.jpg noanus.jpg

Yea, I could do it manually of course, but I'm talking thousands of images.
