i have nano and vi currently open in two different terminals, never was much of a pine / pico fan for some reasons, vi / vim is the only way to go if it's properly configured but nano works in a pinch on most servers when their vi / vim install is shit.

SuzzyQ 02-18-2009 07:59 AM

Pico here

gornyhuy 02-18-2009 08:18 AM

pine briefly in early 90s

Zebra 02-18-2009 08:22 AM

Pico and vi. Not sure which one I used first, slept too many days since then.

the alchemist 02-18-2009 08:23 AM

PowerCum 02-18-2009 09:34 AM

I still use pine. Saves me lots of time when out of office.

I personally prefer vi instead of nano.

Having been using pine for years Colin :)

Pico is easy for me and love it when I ssh in.

Gopher - wow, haven't seen that term in along time. Before the first browser came out we used to gopher adult stuff, etc :)

Yeah, when work was done via a VAX cluster, pine was the only solution. Though I gotta admit, I never tried elm - before my time.

borked 02-18-2009 11:45 AM

That was my first language I learnt

stickyfingerz 02-18-2009 11:46 AM
