UGH - Vanilla Visa Gift Cards
 

Does anyone have any of those Visa gift cards? My mother gave me some and I haven't found a place to use them at yet.

I do not have those.

They're Visa debit cards. You can use them anywhere they take Visa.

Where can I use my gift Card?

You may use your Vanilla Visa Card anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted within the fifty United States and District of Columbia; however, it does not include the territories of Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam. The Vanilla Visa Card cannot be used at merchants outside of the United States, including the Internet and mail order/telephone order merchants outside of the United States.

Did you call and make sure it's activated?

Did you make sure your mother actually put funds on the card and didn't just hand you a blank card? You'd be surprised how often this happens.

I got one of these this past Christmas and I used it right off, with no hassles.

Yes, I can see online how much is available.

WHERE did you use it?

That's all I need to know from anyone. If you have one, WHERE did you use it?

Most Internet sites won't take them, but shouldn't have issues at any brick and mortar businesses. :pimp

Did you register the card with an address? Some gift cards do not work unless registered.

Did the people refuse to let you use it? Did they actually try to swipe it? My kids got some and one idiot said they didn't take those, I argued with him, I told him try it anyway.

I didn't have any trouble with the ones I had. I gave a couple $100 ones to my daughter to take on her trip to florida and she had no problems using them either. Strange.

I have had the same trouble as you. I was able to create a paypal account and link it to the card and I have used the paypal to pay for stuff no problem. Hope that helps.:thumbsup
