I know there have been threads about it before, but I can't seem to find them.

Anyhow, a good friend of mine wants to look into becoming a camgirl. Where should she start?

I know she should try to be as on many sites as possible, but what equipment (type of webcams), software and what sites should she start out with first?

You do not try to be on as many sites as possible. She should pick two sites and do those. The more she is on the site, the more regulars she will get. She needs to make a schedule that she can keep. She will need a nice camcoder with remote, lights, at least a high speed connection, and lots of outfits. The people that buy shows like lingerie, costumes, high heels, stockings, lot of sex toys, etc. She will also need a great personality. Being good looking is not enough. A lot of the cam sites list the requirements that you need to work on there.

There are a lot of good sites. Camz, Flirt4Free, webcams, cams, ImLive, etc. It just depends on what she wants in a webcam site.

also tell her being patient is the key. its not like you log in and money starts immediately rolling in.

very very true. plus tell her to cam in the evening once she decides on a site to use. that is when i usually made the most money.

That depends on the site. I have done shows during the day and made a lot of money. She needs to try day and night and see which one makes more money for her.

How can you tell who is a top girl on those sites? I know on Camz we are ranked in the archives on how many webcam shows we have done. I am at a little over 6,000. I didn't see that on either VS or webcams. I am just curious since I am a webcams.com affiliate and it would be nice to promote the top 10 women. I have only found one gallery of you in the affiliate program under pictures. Can you point me to where to get stuff to promote you on webcams.com? :winkwink:

I am sure at some point they can be closed to performers. I do believe at one time they were not taking any new performers.
