any good alternatives to IE and Firefox's Favorites/Bookmarks?
any add-ons/extensions that do a better job of organizing and displaying bookmarks/favorites?
|
I think IE does a fine job as is. I use IE 8. Not sure what kind of functionality you're looking for that either one lacks.

fris give up who custom codes Flash players!
i use IE6 - must have a thousand bookmarks - the newest bookmarks go to the bottom of the favorite list, i literally need to scroll for what seems like 5 minutes just to find recent favorites. if i want to add a new favorites sub-folder it puts the folder at the very bottom of the list, i have to drag the new sub-folder up the list which takes another 5 minutes. IE6 favorites aren't searchable. I'd like to be able to search by keywords through my favorites like 'programmer, Flash player' and get all the bookmarks i've added that relate to that. sometimes it's weeks or even months before i catch up with bookmarked sites, as i read forums and surf the web whenever I come across an interesting link i bookmark it. |

foxmarks ftw

aha Foxmarks, exactly what I have had in my head for years, too bad i never do anything with my idea!
We are excited to announce Suggested Tags, a new feature that will recommend a list of relevant tags each time you bookmark a site. What makes this feature especially useful is that you can instantly find tagged bookmarks by typing tag names into the Firefox 3 location bar. This is one of the quickest ways to organize and recall bookmarks in Firefox 3. However, if you don?t use tags, you can turn off this feature via Foxmarks Settings. :thumbsup |
