cliff notes:

directv contractors were supposed to be here today from 8-12

they pushed the appt back 3 times before finally moving it to tomorrow

i got two people at directv on the phone who did not seem to care about my pain and suffering and inconvenience and plans that I had to reschedule (fabricated, of course)

so I said cancel it and come get your crap

and all the sudden they were able to get me to someone who could give me 3 months free showtime and $100 credit on my account

I am angry consumer

Nice! after install and the person from customer service calls in to ask you how they did with the install and if you're happy ect. Tell them he used the toilet, left shit on it, left dirty tracks all over the house.. then get more free stuff :1orglaugh

the directtv installer that came out here smelled some ganj that we had burned a while prior to his arrival and asked me to smoke him out.

Hell, when I was a phone installer I had many customers smoke me out. Had a few get me so high I had to tell them I would come back after I came down to finish the job.

Once every thing is setup you will be happy, beats cable hands down.
We have Dish Network and don't regret the switch from bad quality cable..

It's funny what being disgruntled can do.
I never whine. I never bitch. I only complain when I truly think the service warrants it. A few times lately I have spoken up, only to have the issue resolved + credits issued etc etc

I don't expect or want it per say but I'll take it when your company sucks balls.

I have had it for awhile, and normally have no complaints. But my box has been resetting itself a lot recently, and that is why they were coming out.
