Hate towards gays in North America in 21st century: Discuss
Why is it so many people have so much hate towards gay people, even in a supposedly tolerant city like Toronto? Why is it that a few public gay-friendly remarks can cause a person to be frequently called a fag behind his back, even though he is straight? Why is it that some people consider being called gay worse than being called a criminal? And another thing, why are there so many songs about "gangsters" and "criminals" on the mainstream radio. Do young people nowadays think "criminals" are cool? I hope not. Discuss.

Closet cases. They want to appear to be as far from gay as possible because they often find themselves checking out male ass walking down the street.
Being dangerous has always been cool. From James Dean to Lil Retard Wayne. However, much like porn the limits have to be pushed and pushed each generation to stay edgy and cool. |
It's a passing fad. The whole gay thing has past it's expiration date. Just like the wigger hip-hop-thug thing, the tattoo, piercing thing, etc..It's over, move along to the next culturally cool thing whatever it may be. Just try to figure what the next big thing will be and monetize it. Ride the wave.

Because some people need to hate something. It was the Indians, Japs, Commies, Blacks, Hippies, Muslims, and so on. In a generation or two, being gay will be no different than anything else, and people will find some other classification to hate about people. My guess is fat people.
