I don't need any money.
But thanks for being so generous!

bigtone68 11-17-2002 09:19 AM

I never heard of anyone that didn't NEED any more money. LOL Not even Warren Buffet would say that!

Gemini 11-17-2002 09:25 AM

For just one low quarterly cost of $200 you can have one TRUSTEDAdult? reliability seal that provides information on multiple aspects of your business, such as customer satisfaction, security AND privacy policies. Avoid the high costs that can accumulate by obtaining multiple reliability seals for different aspects of your business

Trustedadult.org... a Visa Subsidery?!

800 per year??? We were discussing the very same thing and the WM's didn't want to hear even 10 bucks per month. lmao And all we were discussing was the BW offset etc.

Good Luck! :winkwink:

Dildozer 11-17-2002 09:27 AM

Maybe a good way to get known is actually PAYING for advertising
spamming the boards just won't do it. Unless of course this is a scam...

bigtone68 11-17-2002 09:36 AM

TRUSTEDAdult was developed because of the Visa issues. If you use a third party processor, then you can no longer post the Visa/MC logos on your website. It is well documented that the VISA logo is a symbol of trust for consumers. The TRUSTEDAdult symbol provides that layer of trust PLUS gives you a way to make significant amounts of revenue.

It's no scam...just good business sense!

<IMX> 11-17-2002 09:36 AM

Actually a good idea for amateur sites...but $800.
I'm sure this will sell like ice water in hell

bigtone68 11-17-2002 09:39 AM

Don't focus too much on the $800 per year because if your site has any real traffic you'll make 100 times that in the Revshare program. It's an investment.

Visa is charging a fee with no way to recover it.

Gemini 11-17-2002 10:08 AM

And consumers will automatically KNOW this symbol and give it their total trust? *cough*

I see one more MAIN problem. Say you are lucky enough to get ONE person in each of the three tiers under you...
3 x 800 = $2400.00

2400.00 = 3 webmasters under you...
- 80.00 tier 1
- 40.00 tier 2
- 8.00 tier 3
____________
2272.00 to the "sponsoring" site

Webmaster gets $128.00 for that, to recoup the 800 back you would need 6.25 sets of three tiers *OR* 10 single tier referrals. Or some such mixtures. lol Someone didn't do their homework well enough!

And *if* you were lucky enough to get 100 WM's to sign up for a quarter...

100 x 2272.00 = $227,200.00 Now THAT should cover some bandwith!

And no major sponsor backing on the site?! Hmmmm.... No real credentials...

Good luck again! :thumbsup

Gemini 11-17-2002 10:22 AM

Spent tons of time on studying the situation out, working scripting wrinkles and the like out as well! :1orglaugh

How is putting this litle button on my site going to make a surfer trust me? I can make up my own award and do the same thing...

anyone remember who started the Better Business Bureau? ;)

all this is is some non-adult company trying to get their piece of the adult industry money....that's ALL it is...a moneygrab for this company and a traffic leak for webmasters...

and BigTone, how many times are you going to copy/paste this "announcement"?

also, as I asked in my previous reply on your other thread: what ADULT sites do you own? What makes you the quality authority?

go peddle your snakeoil somewhere else....GFY may be full of newbies, but even these newbies know better than this........

That's not true -- webmasters using CCBill for their 3PP have the registration fee refunded.

some_idiot 11-17-2002 03:08 PM

Didn't get me to click either.

Frankly as a spanking surfer, my biggest concern is not
some $800 logo, it's do they have the rest of the content
from the tour in there.

Show us your creditancials to run such a program.

The TRUSTED seal employs the most sophisticated technology available on the internet for tracking business reliability. Check it out. We're scheduled to do an interview with the Wall St. Journal, The American Business Review and with TechTV.

Maybe once you see it in print and on TV, you'll jump on the band wagon too. ;-)

Our Sponsor is CFH Enterprises, Inc. They've been around for 6 years and have tons of experience in the business.

Our primary partner is iBill. We approached them with an alternative for the Visa problem and they bought into it 100%. Soon all iBill sites will be sporting the TRUSTED logo. :-)
