A forum dedicated to sharing stolen content
 

One of my webcam girls just emailed me very upset because someone sent her a link to a forum that has recorded videos of her private webcam shows. As I searched around on the site, I found thousands of recorded webcam shows from Flirt4Free, Webcams.com, LiveJasmine, etc. (The thread with recorded live webcam shows went on for 200+ pages I think)

I also found 6 threads with pics off of my site, with the watermarks cut off and no links back to my site. It's a surfer forum where guys simply post all of the stolen content they have and share it with each other. I sent a coupe messages to the moderators and the guys that posted my stuff, and of course got no replies back. Can something be done about this??

try some warning emails, mention lawyer few times

Please email or ICQ me the link to the site or site name.
If I see my sites content there, I will send them a nice letter, and let you know how it works out!

someone just showed me a streaming flash recorder that works so well that adobe sued them to get them to stop selling it... adobe won, but the old working versions are all over the place....

LOL! I realize this is nothing new, but I will fight every single site and person that steals my shit to the best of my ability. I work hard to produce this stuff and won't stand by and do nothing when I come across a forum dedicated to posting all of my stuff for free.

There are ways around those. It works off a specific format as far as how it pulls the stream. Those won't touch our streams in our members areas. :winkwink:

True, true. But I think all you can really do is DMCA them or maybe try an actual lawsuit if they don't do shit about you pissing all over their faces via e-mail. Other options include finding out where they live and breaking their knees. You're from Baltimore, right? Just hire some crackheads to rip their organs out with crowbars.

LOL! Yeah, I am from Btown. I sent emails to 5 "moderators" of the board, the posters that put up my pics, and some of the posters that had 10,000+ post counts, all posts of recorded webcam shows. All in all I sent out about 20 emails, and I will report them to removemy content.. I feel like I just wasted an hour of my life. We will see what, if anything happens. Unfortunately, there's a lot of forums and "abused" "file hosting services" (MU/RS/DS, etc) that fit your title. Adult online publishing is faced with the onslaught of free tubes/forums/file hosting on one end and economic slowdown at the other end...

We've gone after several paysites in the past for using our stolen content - we had our lawyer write up a very intimidating cease-and-desist letter.

In one case, we drafted our own letter demanding monetary compensation for 'loss of livelihood' due to the use of our copyrighted images. The letter scared the site owner so bad (turned out it was just a teenager living at home) that he called us overseas at 4am asking the best way to send payment. :1orglaugh

nothing will get those sites down - hire RemoveYourContent.com and forget about it because you'll drive yourself nuts and the time you spend chasing them would be better off doing something else.

Google is the worst offender, Rapidshare and the other free file hosts are just as bad.

Only dramatic changes to the DMCA will help and i hear of nothing coming on that front. The DMCA is the worst law ever written - it's had the complete opposite effect that it was intended for - it was meant to protect copyright owners and what it's done is give the world easy rules by which to make billions of dollars off other people's copyrights legally.

You can contact their host and have the content removed. Or, you can contact a lawyer and have that and maybe more.

Gotta DMCA the shit out of them, and their entire supply chain... hosts, processing (if they have any) registrars, and the website owners/operators themselves. See ya at the show this week, find me if ya need some more help or guidance on teh issues.

Where can I acquire webcam girls? I would like my own. Try to think of a conservative investment approach. Like getting contracts for life that cannot be broken or countries where they cannot afford PC's and internet connections so they have no alternative.

it can't be proven as direct loss in your books, because those ppl who watched/used it for free wouldn't necessarily have paid money for it anyhow from beginning. so its like free advertising for you, it could be a benefit. enforcement of copyright violations is a thing of the past with non-tangible, easily transferable publicly advertised goods on internet
