BTW I'm too lazy to look for it now, but I saw a figure in a news story on Yahoo, something like the $40 bil AIG assets bought by the gov't in their initial bailout I guess was evaluated to be worth about $14 bil. So the govt is throwing our money away to say the least!

Where do you think these guys are getting the money from? They are printing it. That means it is going to devalue the dollar.

Shitty! I just heard Wells Fargo say they hired 6,000 employees to call people who might lose their homes. I wonder if the 6,000 employees were from a call center in India?
