I get those a couple times a week. About once a month, I get a guy who thinks I'm Turkish and speaks just enough English to be thoroughly confused when I tell him I'm not.

4 or 5 of those a day, always ending in a .ru domain name link. :disgust

I've had about 4 of those in the last month or less. At first I thought it was someone trying to contact me for work but hadn't converted their keyboard or something.. but after the 2nd one said the same thing.. i just ignored them.

Theres an option in ICQ to only accept messages from contacts. I turned that on, and haven't received any since :) I used to get at least 10 a day...drove me NUTS, especially when I was in photoshop, and working with layers, then fucking ICQ pops up on the bottom right lol - which is always pretty annoying, but when it's fucking spam, it just makes it all the more infuriating lol

i get about 50 russian spams on icq per day. very annoying.

just up your privacy settings and it will cut down on them tremendously

ban them or block them, they're bots from Eastern European hackers, that's my guess.
