Hook me up with 1,000TB/month?
Hi,
I'm tired of paying $0.05/GB. Who can get me a good deal for ~1,000TB/month ? |
you can find much cheaper than $15.7/meg
|
try paying for Mbits , not GB's
much better |
Virtual or dedicated?

Time to test those unlimited virtual accounts :D WG |
Second the pay via committed/burst rate (per-Mbit) instead of GB.
If you indeed have 1,000TB of bandwidth usage, you're looking at around 5Gbit of usage (assuming a fairly aggressive 200GB per Mbit @ 95th percentile efficiency). This number can change considerably depending on your traffic, but 5-6Gbit is probably pretty safe. So yes, you could do much better. Hit me at [email protected] and I'd be happy to get you an aggressive quote. |
We're at 6.7gbit 95th percentile now, last quote I got for 7gbit was $185,000 which is more than what we're paying now ($50,000/month).
|
We can certainly do better than $50,000/mo. For bandwidth only, we can do about $29,000/mo based on 6.7Gbit usage.

noam,
We can also get you running at the $28,000-$29,000 mark for 6.7Gbits of bandwidth. This is on our all premium and tier-1 network, with guaranteed bandwidth availability. We have over 50,000sqft of built-out datacenters, and real 24/7 on-site staff compromised of level-3 techs. Lets talk and see what we can come up with. Internet Radio applications (9-5 Monday through Friday peak, almost nothing the rest of the time) will do only about 130GB per Mbps 95th percentile. In reality, it's probably $9-11.50/Mbps 95th percentile. I'd estimate that he's probably doing about 5Gbps 95th, and with a commit around there he can certainly do better. If it's hosted on a CDN, it's still a bit high, but less ridiculous. At any rate, I can do better for either CDN or standard hosting, OP should give me a shout ;). Best, Sam |

obviously at 1000 TB most of us should be able to do better, but would you like to improve what you offer while paying a lower price and have someone that will help you explore a better way of doing things?
would be happy to help Caz |

We are already hosting some of your competition in network gaming at local markets and would have absolutely no problems keeping your stuff up while facebook bangs your servers. Gbits of commitment are not problem and prices can be really affordable. Quotes may vary alot depending on your network setup, but in such cases we just prepare a content delivery cluster for our clients that allows transparet and easy growth without surprises. |
