Springsteen half time show kicked ass!
 

Nice to see that Bruce has still got it goin' on. I've always wanted to see him and the E Street band in concert.

i have to say that the first two songs sucked,, there was nothing there and he looked old. but he really started to heat things up and ended really awsome

It sucked, the worst half time show in a decade.

His voice is almost gone. It is so sad that they can't book decent acts to the super bowl.

yeah, at the end it went better. but this was the worst half time show i have ever seen. I don't even really like his songs. And he was dancing like he had been to the gym all stiff and old man style. lol

Dude he was more fun than the Stones or Tom Petty last year..
But goddamn, Janet has ruined it for everyone....
Next year will be McCartney or some boring ass bullshit.

You should go to one of their concerts. They always manage to put up a great show!

I thought it was entertaining and he did a great job

He only had about 14 minutes to play and he started out saying stuff like " let me here ya say oh ya " and " put your hands in the air " like rappers do for most of their songs and I was going WTF! Then he finally got going and finished strong.

The half time show with Prince was much better though.

I was more impressed with the band than him. They are still tight.

While I very much enjoyed last night's show, I do agree with you on that.

Prince was the best in my memory.

Not a Bruce "fan" but I feel like he acquitted himself well.

Saw him in an interview today, he was telling about hoe Mickey Rourke called him for The Wrestler soundtrack

I Think Bruce did a pretty good job of working the stage and didn't just stand there.
The band really did sound great. As I was watching Max the drummer I couldn't help but think about how great a life he has getting to play and tour with Springsteen, has a day job on Conan AND gets to play the half time show at the super bowl.

I thought he did well but my favorite part was watching the guy who played Silvio on the Sopranos playing the guitar and singing with him. That's the first time I've seen the E Street Band since I found out Silvio is part of it.

The first two songs were classics, the last part of the 14 minute show was his newer stuff. All in all the guy is among the top dogs of the world for performers. E Street Band as tight as ever. At one point Bruce took a knee-slide across the stage and slid right into the camera, it was like he was about to come shooting through the tv screen at you.

Try doing that when you're 60 like he is.

Some younger people may not get the old classics or how great this guy and this band is, but very enjoyable halftime show from where I sat.

It's pretty hard to get people pumped up and entertained in 12 minutes especially if you are used to doing 3 hour concerts and 20 minute versions of songs. Crappy Gospel song aside, I thought he was great and I am not a huge fan.

If true, it was probably recorded from when she sang it a few weeks ago at the conference playoffs.

No matter, it was her voice, and although I'm not a fan or buyer of her music, she sang it incredibly well.

Everyone is a critic. He is too stiff, he is this, he is that.

That guy is turning 60 years old this year....and by the looks of him he is more limber and in shape than at least 1/2 the people on this board of ANY age. He is part of musical history...the voice may not be what it was when he was 30, he may weigh 5 or 10 lbs more...but think about it...how many more times are you going to have the ability to see him perform.

Hats off to him for not turning into an old man in a rocking chair and instead being the man that can still rock!

I wasn't meaning to say that I didn't enjoy Bruce..just that for me the real stand out was the band which was really good.

Seems like they're on the 'Old People' binge over the last few years since the NIPPLE. Paul McCartney, The Stones, Prince, Tom Petty and now Bruce.

I'm sorry but anyone who hasn't heard "Born to run" at least once in the last 35 years has been living under a rock.

It's us old people who can afford to buy the $1000 tickets to the game, thus they cater to us. :D

I am not a big Bruce fan but the show was pretty cool live even from my shitty seats facing the back of the stage.

I am not sure if I would care to see him in concert but as part of the superbowl experience it was a fun set.
