I never leave any money in my paypal account.if i do leave any its an amount I wouldnt get upset losing.

Didn't notice.

I have done a good couple of dozen transactions over the past few months, some big dollar, and appear to be the same rip off fees as always. I suppose I could check 2008 numbers and see if there is some difference.

I haven't seen paypals fee's raise and I still use them a whole lot.
Unlike many if given a choice I still will take paypal over epass any day as well.

Use it to your advantage when possible such as making sure you use the cash back option with their debit card, when receiving funds in large amounts always take an echeck, batch payments can be your friend and so forth.

epass has less fees, and a no dispute policy and dont care if you are selling your gstring

Paypal is great thing,they not charging anything for receiving or sending money.

Well I just got 2 payment for 500 and 350, and $16 was taken out of both :(

Well there is trick which allows to not be charged for receiving money.

If you would of told them to send you an echeck via paypal instead you would of only been charged 10.00 combined.

Mass Pay to send and receive. Only charges $1 to the sender.

There is always a cost of doing business. The Paypal card allows you to remove the money pretty well as you get it, that convenience alone is worth it it my opinion.

Better than waiting for 7-10 days for a "check" to arrive in the mail and then hope that the check is a good one and doesn't bounce.

That's about 3%... doesn't sound too outrageous.

I use paypal nearly daily, and have not noticed an increase in fees.

They take out about $30 for every $1k recieved:

Completed Details $1,000.00 USD -$29.30 USD

The fees didn't go up as far as I see - did international fees go up or something?

That's a common percentage rate. I always incorporate those things when sending and receiving payment. :)
