Logo Concept Help

The wife has been heavily involved with parents of kids with special needs for years (IE. Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder) and she and a bunch of other women are going to start a non-profit company.

Since it's going to be quite a few women involved in it, I figured I'd let them use the domains I own

msmanaged.com, .net, .org, .tv

It's a play on words Ms. Managed and of course, mainstream.

What do you guys think of the name and would it be easy enough to design out a logo that brings out the play on words without diluting it?

I messed with that for a mainstream business I started last year. Logo concepts are a nightmare for people like me who aren't artistic. I finally hired logodesignguru.com to take care of it and I was beyond happy with the results.

I personally don't think MsManaged is the right name for this type of non profit. It is not soft, caring, compassionate, helpful, etc.. sounding at all... Sounds negative, sounds angry, sounds like something wrong has been done.. *shrug* I think you should let them come up with the name whether you have the domain or not.

I would look for another domain name...something more caring, helping, friendly, or medical. You don't need all the extensions the .com or .org would due. If you just need a logo for a website and it is for a good cause...I will donate one at no charge. :thumbsup

I am sure others would like to get involved for a good cause:

Bama, I personally think the domain name will raise more problems than its worth ... the logo is easy to get the message across that its MS Managed, but its answering the phone or writing it in an email where there is no visual art to guide the viewers brain to seeing the 'ms' as 'miss/ms' .... I see 'ms' as in the condition multiple schlerosis ... so the site could give lots of wrong ideas about what it does. MS Managed sounds like a multiple schlerosis management site ...

But with all that said, its not like this is a corporate business with an IPO so people are generally more forgiving of not for profits ... and if you write the domain MSmanaged.com and include a slogan 'female volunteers' or something, then its pretty clear.

Here's a couple of really quick ideas - you can see its easy to give the right impression with a logo, its just all the rest of the correspondence that would be a concern.

Happy to donate a logo for the cause so have your wife hit me up ;-)

You've spoken and I'm listening so I'll come up with something else that would be better suited to the stuff they're doing.

Thanks for those examples CJ :)
