It isn't always about "If you can, you should".... because in the case of this ego7 site... they shouldn't have. Or they should have at LEAST made it compatible with the #1 browser on the fucking market. Because right now, it's an unstable piece of shit.

You're right, Shadowness is kick-ass, and RealitySites is an excellent display of html. But ya know what? ego7 works just fine in my IE6.02, and I like that concept, too. Can we agree to disagree?

I don't get it Amp, you say flash sucks and then you point out a site which uses flash to compliment their graphics?

Yes I agree that in some hands flash can be annoying when abused (but so can any other format). However, in the right hands it can and has done some amazing stuff (I like ego7 - and haven't had any problems with it in my ie browser either).

You also mentioned in another thread that websites with flash just make it harder to navigate - again, when done wrong yes - but when done right (ie. 2advanced, whoswe, and fantasyinterfaces) it can not only make navigation easy but also enjoyable. And part of any good design, in my opinion, is to not only to make the product / information readily available but to also do so in a way that makes the consumer want to come back.

If your criticism with flash is that it has too many ?bullshit lines waving back & forth?, blame the designer ? not the program.

yes.... exactly... I was referring to their graphic work.. not their use of Flash.

and I do.... fully blame the designers. The problem is, there are far too few designers that actually regulate themselves with Flash, and far too many idiots out there trying to make a statement for a fucking resume. And in the meantime, we end up enduring their shit, with a flurry of "Oh this rocks! This kicks ass!"

It doesn't kick ass. It's distracting and annoying. For the most part. Not ALL of it.... but most of it.

Sorry, I do not like ego7's efforts.... I have been to that site a dozen times and I still haven't got the slightest idea even what it's about.

I love kick ass graphics.... they're great....

but if the site can't fucking function, no amount of "AWESOME!!!"ness is gonna help it.

now... since you are all bent on this ego7 site... I have been forcing myself through it here..... trying to gain some of your perspective...

it's not working.

I've gone through this site with three different browsers..... it has serious problems in all three.... components are missing.... things lock up.... things simply don't work. Again.... 3 browsers.

IE.
Mozilla.
Opera.

And even still, I have no fucking clue what this site is about?
