Guerilla Traffic Question
a few weeks ago my buddy got an email from guerilla traffic who wants to put a pre-checked cross sale on his ccbill join page. the cross sale is a free 3-day trial to one of their sites that rebills at $39.94. they pay him $25 for every member who accepts the trial even if the member cancels before the rebill and they cover all chargebacks.
i was surprised to see a pre-checked cross sale on ccbill site, i didn't think they did that even though it's in plain view. i've seen unchecked cross sales. he asked me what i thought but i don't have an experience with them. does anyone have experience with guerilla traffic? are they legit or is there some kind of angle to this? thanks! |

thaks guys! he's heard alot of bad stuff about pre-checked cross sales and programs banging credit cards and didn't want to get mixed up in anything shadey.

As per the cross sales, CCBill has been extremely conservative with them and since we have our own customer service department, and a low overall chargeback rate, we have been approved to do them. Most of them, if you notice, have a bright pink table cell background around the cross sales. The customer EASILY sees them and unchecks them. We'd rather have the customer appreciate the bonus offer than be tricked into it.
People forget that the customer is getting bonus access to an additional website. Even though bandwidth is cheaper, alot of our leased feeds cost money. CC Bill makes it extremely easy for their customers to cancel.....believe me. |
wouldn't it be better (for the customer) to have it unchecked and let them check it if they want the offer?

Here we go again.. O.P = newb
