you're offended by 14 year old girls seeing a poledancing demonstration? i hardly see how this is more offensive than your 14 year old daughter in a pop or r&b dancing class. its the exact same thing, no more sexualized than the hip grinding, squatting, thrusting, ass popping, and titty shaking they do there. just on a pole. not too far off gymnastics or anything else.

Hormone packed foods and water supplies, a hypersexualized society, and other environmental factors are causing girls to mature sexually at younger ages. A 14 year old girl is a very sexual being. She is going to have sexual interests, she is going to act provocatively.There's plenty of people who have their daughters in dance classes doing damn near the exact same thing strippers are doing already, minus the pole. Why does introducing a pole into the equation suddenly change things? Nobody is charging into these dance classes and screaming "you're teaching our daughter to act like bar whores and peelers!" The way teenage girls dress and act, they want to feel sexy. If getting up on the pole gets them interested in exercising and staying in shape, and their parents are ok with it, so be it. No one is saying you have to allow your daughter do it.

I will agree that perhaps school isn't the best place to bring this in, and it should probably be ran passed the parents first, but really it's not like they're being taught how to strip, just how to swing around on a pole. The act itself is in no way obscene, only it's association to something which is.

I am seriously baffled that this is the news headline that has you in such an uproar. The economy is bombing, people are loosing it and murdering their families, 6 year old children getting gunned off by their crazed parents, innocent people are dying daily in bullshit religious wars, kids are shooting up schools, massive fields of liquid plastic are spanning the oceans, our water supplies are poisoned by pharmaceuticals, the air and soil polluted, the list goes on. I don't see anything inappropriate in that video. It was a one time presentation for fitness week. See the sign in the background? Read the articles? I didn't see any girls on the pole, and if they were I'm sure it was just them fooling around, and I highly doubt it was very sexual in nature. Props to the woman doing her demo and the interview. She did a very tasteful job of her performance, and I don't think she misrepresented her activity in any way. Who says poledancing(fitness, lol) can't be a mainstream thing? This really doesn't appear to far off something you'd see in an olympic gymnastics competition, or the Cirque de Soleil.

Saying "14year old girls" is omitting facts here in support of the malformed opinion you've been twisted into. 14-19 year old girls and boys saw the presentation. The concern was raised when a bunch of teenage boys kept watching cellphone videos in class and giggling over their hardons.

The only thing I see wrong here is a bunch of teenagers with cellphones in class...
