wireless broadband service

I need the ability to travel and not have to jack peoples wifi signal so can anyone recommend a good company for wireless broadband? I've heard Sprint, Verizon, etc but no idea how good they are.

Btw, the laptop is a mac if it matters :pimp

well i have sprint, works great...friend of mine uses at&t and i know it works just as good if not better...i suggest you just look up each of the services coverage areas. Then maybe which one that has the best set up that you like, example usb, express card slot, etc etc...my :2 cents: .good luck:thumbsup

I've been thinking of getting that as a backup. Pretty rare that the internet goes out here, but when it does, it always seems to happen at the worst times. lol

yeah my main reason is that while my wife is in classes at her university I want to be able to work and the school (Lutheran university) most likely has a VERY locked down internet access plan.

i have a sprint phone (touch) with free incoming night weekends and 500 minutes plus unlimited internet (with phone) and unlimited (phone as modem) all together with taxes my bill runs 124 a month

with 1 bar the speed is decent 300kbs up/ 1500 kbs down and with a 3 plus bars it really gets fast like 500kbs up /3000kbs down (EVO) or some shit.

it will connect with laptop either via blue tooth or usb

i'm happy with it especially when i travel
it's nice to have a true hi speed connection
even while traveling in the car (let someone drive) :-)
