I'm looking for a script that will let me select countries that I want to block from accessing a site.

Any suggestions?

Just get some tech guy to setup mod_geoip and few rules in .htaccess... or are you looking for something with a fancy interface?

I admit, an interface would be ideal. A web program where I could copy & paste code would work also.

If you're looking to get something like that done with an exisitng database, like maybe Maxmind...i suggest you get a custom cool little interfaced setup, hit up DrOCD the php programmer. He is doctorocd on aim.

Take a look at CjOverkill (see sig)
You can use the country filter option (GeoIP driven without need of mod_geoip installation). you can redirect each country to a different URL if you want.
It also filters some other things like download bots and crazy clickers.
If you don't use it for trading, then it's just a fancy counter with lots of filters and nice interface.

i have a nice one - i can pick and choose cities I want blocked - the MaxMind city database isn't cheap, paid almost $500 for it. i haven't updated it because GeoIP to keep people away from a site who want to see it - doesn't really work.

the great folks at Panchodog hooked me up with their GeoIP script - has a sweet admin.

oh - i see you run a solo girl site - so you're probably wanting to block the place the model comes from and/or resides. it won't really help - don't give your model any false hope/assurance that it's going to keep friends and family from seeing her site.

Actually, I'm tired of all the surfers from various third world countries that will never join and are just cruising the site for free content and then going to all the file sharing boards looking for stolen content. So I want to block places like Iran, Iraq, etc.

Setup mod_geoip and few rules in .htaccess... easy & quick fix :)
