Despite reports to the contrary, Patrick Swayze's rep wants to assure fans that the actor has not given up in his battle against pancreatic cancer.....

There has been about 20 "Patrick Swayze has died" threads on here. None of which have been true.

Do people on here not like him or something ?

pornguy 01-29-2009 03:06 PM

That will be sad. He did some great movies.

brassmonkey 01-29-2009 03:13 PM

hes not dead

SomeCreep 01-29-2009 03:15 PM

He's not dead, but he's on his way out. Sad stuff.

CyberHustler 01-29-2009 03:25 PM

He was released from the hospital for the pneumonia already, but starting yesterday he stopped all medical treatment because the Docs said there ain't shit else they can do for him. That's the last I heard.

CaptainHowdy 01-29-2009 03:28 PM

Your favorite celebrity will eventually die... or you'll die before your favorite celebrity, damm!

GeoBeo 01-29-2009 03:31 PM

Same :( I got to the part where he started saying he doesn't believe in taking supplements or changing his food at all, because he'd rather focus on living than prolonging the inevitable. I teared up then :(

tony286 01-29-2009 05:29 PM

cancer is an awful thing

He has been very sick... I think he's lasted a lot longer than expected.

ModelPerfect 01-29-2009 05:38 PM

I've seen loved ones go through cancer before; it's horrific. I wish the best for him.

I lost my uncle on his 70 birthdays this past Friday.

jmcb420 01-29-2009 05:50 PM

My grandmother passed a few years back from pancreatic cancer. It was far beyond a crule way to go. She went from 170lbs to 70lbs in a matter of months, and by the time the cancer took her away she had lost her mind. Couldn't even remember that her daughter was her daughter or that I was her grandson.

If I ever get diagnosed with that one, I'll live til its obvious it's getting bad, then I'll kill myself, likely by O.D.ing on the medication that they give so the medical peeps can call it accidental. I'm sure it happens every day and they dont want to burden the family with anymore harsh news.

Really shitty way to go, and I wouldnt wish it on anyone. Even if they made dirty dancing.

Sorry to hear that, SCORE-Cash. I feel for you.

Quagmire 01-30-2009 09:59 AM

They said on the news this morning that he has stopped taking the cancer treatment and is going to go home and be comfortable.

From what they said I am assuming its terminal and he's accepted that he's going to pass away soon.

Such a same.

Rangermoore 01-30-2009 10:18 AM

his destiny is even worse than his films

prezzz 01-31-2009 04:20 PM

That is one of the most fucked up diseases out there. My father died of pancreatic cancer in mid-90's and as in many cases of it, before they diagnosed it, he was already beyond the point where the doctors could save him. Very often patients are treated for various diseases before the real cause of illness is discovered...

Michaelious 01-31-2009 04:22 PM

I feel sorrry for all the dirty dancing fans

I have actually been watching that series. It isn't too bad. Makes me sad though if this is all true and he is just giving up.
