Here's how to kill off the illegal tube sites
Band together, lobby for the expansion and strict enforcement of 2257. For those not in the US, lobby for the implementation of 2257-like laws.
Politicians don't listen to the porn industry, usually. However, when the industry begs for stricter regulation "to combat the spread of cp", newspapers and such will pay attention. |
so are you basically saying ban all user uploaded porn?

Well, if this industry had an actual industry group with a lobbyist presence we would have a hand in the actual lawmaking instead of just waiting for them to get passed and hope for the best.

He has been over here twice in the past 3-4 years rounding up child porn producers, and whatever you call the sickies who traffic, buy or whatever. The point being, that once they find out, they do come after the people. He's told me about cases not just in MI, but other states where they come in and do round ups, or sting operations on it. However, like anything with the government,... you either have to give it to them on the platter, or it has to me politically expedient. He has told me how the politics keep them hot footing from one thing to the next. They bust too many employers, and Congress sends them to do child porn. They round em up, get name in paper, they get sent to deal with gangs. He makes reference to the fact that once they get good at emigration reform, gangs, CP, whatever. They almost are immediately sent on to something else..... like the government does not want them goose stepping too efficiently. Anyways, back to your subject.... If people actually started reporting the shit to the FBI, and acronym central instead of sabre rattling on message boards. The government would move their ass on this shit. :2 cents: |

Send out a press release to every possible newspaper, and results are virtually guaranteed. After all, when "even the porn industry calls for more regulation", it becomes virtually impossible to oppose it. Remember, there are lots of right-wing lobbyists out there who get hard even thinking about this. |

And no, reporting it doesn't work. Because as we all know, every tube site will immediately delete cp if they encounter it and send all data they have concerning the uploader to the police. So the tube sites aren't their target. (that's also the answer to the other thread I posted: they get away with it because they don't willingly engage in it, and combat it if possible) The idea is to leverage irrational fears into something beneficial to the industry. At this point, regulation can only really help us :2 cents: |

It appears, to me, that anytime something gets to the Federal level. There is no such thing as 'moderation'. It is either them goose stepping all over your civil rights, dropping the hammer with the all or nothing ultimatums, or they do nothing. There is never seems to be any middle ground. Do not get me wrong Libertine. I completely agree with you 100%. Not only on CP, but on using 2257 as a way to start killing tubes and enforcing copyright. I do some level of it when a site fails to remove my content upon first request. The second DMCA requests is served to their ISP, registrar, processor, and if U.S. based, I fax it to the attorney general of that state, and any and all info I find on the person or company. Luckily for them. 97% remove my shit on first request. :winkwink: I am not going to fuck around sabre rattling. I want my shit down, and not reposted. If you are going to waste my time tracking it down. I am going to waste yours answering to your ISP/processor/attorney general, etc. |

Because, you know what the worst case scenario is? Draconian laws to limit access to hardcore porn to verified adults. And if that happened, profits in this industry would rise by an insane percentage. |

Again, keep in mind. I am not disagreeing with you, and support your remarks. I am simply not trusting of the government is all. They simply can never be trusted with unlimited power. |

Uncle sam would love it if we were willing to cut off an industry limb, and we'd love to cut that one off.:thumbsup good thinking.... Thats way outside the box. Almost scary. |

But look at the alternative: https://youtube.com/watch?v=4pXfHLUlZf4 Click "Watch in HD" beneath the video. Now imagine what happens when tube sites start offering that quality as standard. Then, imagine what happens when the people who are now in the 15-25 age group (the ones who are thoroughly familiar with the internet) become the 25-35 age group. This industry is in FAR more trouble than most people realize. At this rate, it's another 5-10 years at most before virtually all porn is given away for free to draw visitors to click ads for other products. |
i love tubes
