Back in my Commodore 64 days I had a 300 baud modem. That shit was crazy. You'd visit pure text message boards and the text would scroll left to right at a pace of one word per second...

Sweet was when you had a 2400 baud that also was capable of 9600 with the same modem types. Nothing felt better than hearing that upgrade noise as it starting talking to another 9600 when you figured you would get another 2400 connect.

I thought about it long ago after I got off dial up an used to cable...any time I am getting over 300kb/sec of download speed I am happy...the fact I can get 900-1000kb/sec these days is just awesome, but I could live without it

it is the upload that always drives me nuts, I could not live with anything below 100kb/sec upload again, it just speeds my entire workflow up to have uploads at 300kb/sec right now

I probably spend more time uploading to servers than I do downloading

It's a nice speed...don't complain about it, here in Brazil it's not so fast!
