I recently got a packard dell laptop for under $700 with decent specs

I like my laptops small, but not tiny. I'd go with one of the new Macbooks, which I am actually considering at the moment. My old one has had a good life.

I would go with Sony Vaio F series if I were to buy a laptop right now.

I have a Dell Vostro 17 inch screen. It more depends on what you plan to do with it. If you travel A LOT, then what I have may be tooo heavy.

i blew my r series up kinda, it could never handle the load i tossed at it, would overheat constantly. why i am hesitant at all of even getting a laptop again, but i need the portability.

lenovo W series if you dont play games

alienware M17x (i think thats what its called) max specced if you do play games
