T-Shirt Hell closing it doors...?
 

got this in my email...they just recently closed down torsopants.com, so it makes me think they are serious

Room for competition to take over the vacancy left behind then.

Why close it, why not just sell it?

i'm really surprised they don't just sell out to someone. it's a well branded name now. i remember when tshirt hell first opened their doors years and years ago. i'm sure someone would pick it up. things must not be so good in the offensive tshirt biz these days...

Aren't they also famous for fake publicity stunts like this one? I'm pretty sure they've done similar things like this in the past.

All I could say to that guy is cry moooore. He closed the "worse than hell" section cuz he thought someone poisoned his food because of tshirthell. So now he's mad that he gets emails like that? Well no fucking shit you're gonna get emails like that running tshirthell. He makes enough cash to let someone else run it and not even bother dealing with any of it.

He says anyone with half a brain would get/understand his shirts yet he still gets those emails... Well anyone with half a brain would know you're going to get emails like that running tshirthell.

the offensive tshirt market isn't that great...sure, you get a lot of people hotlinking your products on forums everywhere, but in all honesty, as big as they were, I can only count MAYBE 5 times I have seen someone else wearing their merchandise...and that is since I have known they existed, easily 8+ years

plus, I have 2-3 of their shirts...not the greatest quality shirts and the sizes were all off, my XL was more like a medium, I can't even wear it now that it has shrunk...I never ordered again simply because I didn't know what I was going to get

I wish they would reopen Worse Than Hell.

I honestly don't think they do all that much REAL business...lots of looky loos, but not many committed buyers

yeah, but can you believe that he says on that letter? if I was seeing my sales drift down I know I wouldn't put a real amount on there

They've done some odd crap in the past, so that does sound more likely than actually closing. I can't believe he would just now let something like that get to him.

I think that statement there is a key problem with their business. Many did just visit for the lolz and never buy.

i call bullshit on his bragging about how much money he's made and his claim that he could sell out for millions but he won't cuz he's such a cool little hippy dude.

the t-shirts are hysterical but seriously nobody wears them - how many people have you seen wearing a t-shirt from hell? people by them as gag gifts for friends and family and they're not worn.

I've never seen a single person in the entire world wearing ONE of their shirts.

one of the guys i hunt with wears shirts from there, a few years ago we were driving up there and he was wearing the "swallow or its going in your eye" shirt. we stop for gas, he's in line in front of me in the gas station, when he leaves the girl is like, "oh does your friend have a girlfriend??" here i am thinking she's going to give me her number for him or something, then when i reply no, she says, "no wonder with a shirt like that on". at the time i had no idea what he was wearing, but knew it had to be something good.. haha that cracks me up every time i see that gas station now. on a plus note, the strippers up there always seem to appreciate tshirt hell shirts lol.

Either this is bullshit or the owner has broken his brain with too many drugs.

That blows. I never made a lot of money with them, but I just checked and I had $918 in commissions with them over the years.

So stupid if he just closes it up without selling it to someone.

I used to wear some of their shirts to the bars at night. I had a theory on the shirts; If someone is going to be offended by the shirt, they probably weren't someone that I was going to like anyway. Anyone who thought my shirt was funny and understood the satire is my type of person. That streamlined the whole "getting to know each other" process dramatically.

Half of them will get you arrested.
