Any movies you thought were going to be fucking retarded surprise you lately?

I just watched Balls Out, it surprised the hell out of me. it was actually pretty damned funny. Don't pass it up if you get that "this movie is going to be fucking retarded" sense tingling in the video store...

Pretty much all of the WWE original movies are that way, See No Evil, The Condemned, The Marine, and now Behind Enemy Lines: Columbia. They all seem like they are going to be some shitty movie with a pro wrestler in the lead role, but they are actually all fun movies for what they are...

haven't seen the others, but condemned was a great flick...

Mall Cop was hilarious.

Blingbaby 01-25-2009 11:30 PM

The Pianist - I expected another HoloHoax movie but this one was pretty good

I was really pleasently surprised and depressed with The Wrestler and Taken.

hypedough 01-26-2009 12:01 AM

ExLust 01-26-2009 12:05 AM

Max Payne though I like Zohan a little better.

HookUPcom 01-26-2009 12:24 AM

23 on HBO right now... Worth the watch.

KillerK 01-26-2009 01:05 AM

Wanted

didn't think it was anything

Frankthefreakintank 01-26-2009 09:14 AM

Freddy vs Jason, went in with low expectations and it was not bad acually,

But Max Payne was so just horrible, I was actually getting mad while watching it thinking i basically just got robbed of 7 dollars and 2 hours of my life

It's like the game history?

Role Models...I had low expectations and it turned out to be one of the funniest movies of 2008. Total formula movie, but Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott made it work.

Tom_PM 01-26-2009 10:46 AM

I saw The Davinci Code last night on tv. It was better than I thought it would be. I didnt know all those templars were burned on my birthday. oop

notime 01-26-2009 10:48 AM

4400 tv series was a surprise. I thought it would be crap looking at the dvd cover.

HaleyWilde 01-26-2009 11:13 PM

I watched the Bucket List recently, and thought it was going to be pretty lame, but it was surprisingly good! I highly recommend it!

Yeah, 4400 is great. Until it came back. They should of stopped at season 1. I don't know what season they are on now but I bet its still shit. It's the first time I've seen a show have a great first season with little interest then come back after everyone watched the repeats with huge hype and suck so god damn horribly.

Uh, I might still be angry about it.

they stopped after season 4 so the story remains unfinished...yeah it kinda went to shit after the first season but i watched it from the beginning and want to see it finished...season 5 is a book :2 cents::disgust

MandyBlake 01-27-2009 12:14 AM

its not a new movie, but Wall-E.
i didn't want to watch it but i ended up really liking it and even shedding a tear at the end.

Far-L 01-27-2009 03:24 AM

"Man on Wire" - huge, as in more than bigtime, great movie that was a total surprise - if I tell you what it is about then you probably wouldn't see it.

CarlosTheGaucho 01-27-2009 04:01 AM

I watched Starsky n Hutch, didn't expect too much since I'm not that huge Ben Stiller fan.

I actually had a great laugh, one of the best comedy movies I've seen in a bit.

StaceyJo 01-27-2009 04:08 AM

I guess its "Twilight".

John-ACWM 01-27-2009 08:35 AM

Slumdog Millionaire. I avoided seeing it but I loved every minute
