My friends wife shaved her head. Susan Powter style. Yuck. I think girls should have long hair. At least shoulder length. I don't know what it is, but I just don't like girls with short hair.

Sorry Max, the answer is NO. There is NO tactful way to say anything negative about your girlfriend. We women are sensitive creatures and will take whatever you say straight to heart. Its sad I know but I'm afraid that is the simple truth. I even get upset sometimes when my hubby tells me my breath stinks after eating garlic. We're silly creatures I'm afraid. The best thing to say is almost nothing. If you don't compliment it she may get the point that you preferred her hair the way it was before she cut it.
