Needed Chat Script with Webcam and Voice

I am looking for either a script, or programmer with chat and webcam background.

Please make sure if you contact me you have your shit in order. Meaning, portfolio where the links actually work. I keep getting these port's sent to me, and half the links do not work, or pages do not load.

It does not give a good first impression to say the least.

Fire away ladies.

Barefootsies 01-23-2009 11:57 AM

Oh, one more thing.

I am NOT interested in any co-branded networks of any kind.

Unless that means all your advertisements, backdoor upsells, and network can be cut out. Which is almost a never. So no need to contact me.
:winkwink:

Yep. I thought the same.

I was referred to an aussie to check out. He apparently does custom software for this. We'll see. I do not mind investing some money, but some are crazy expensive. Others are just too simple for what I need.

I am looking for a mix between a Yahoo Chat type of thing, but with cam support, and API.

Mutt 01-23-2009 11:01 PM

well let me know if the Aussie guy has anything interesting.

thanks

There is only 1 person that I can advice you (and I tried many webcam apps) Softservice. For example camwither works with this script.

2MuchMark 01-23-2009 11:59 PM

Hi Barefootsies,

Please take a look at our solution : LiveCamNetwork at http://www.2Much.net

Our live video chat system does everything you want it to. Stream high quality video and audio to your paying customers and charge them per minute (actually per second) to view chat and Interact with your models.

You can use your own processor such as CCBill, and be paid directly by them. Use your own chat models and traffic or borrow from the built-in network. Brand it any way that you want and customize it with your own logo and look and feel. No Co branding necessary, and no banners except whoever you choose to advertise for. You can even replace the copyright message with your own.

If you have chat models and traffic ready to go, we will give you a license to try for 3 months free.

Hit me up on ICQ # 322403761 and I can give you a demo anytime you're ready.

I should have the 2nd office/webcam/streaming radio studio upstairs ready to go in Feb.

So right now it is just finding the right solution as I order hardware for that office.

I'll take a look at the demo. However, I do not want any co-branded solution, or anything with back doors to your models, other network(s), etc.

2MuchMark 01-24-2009 09:35 AM

Hi again -

It will say BAREFOOTSIES SUPER HOT FOOTY CAMS or anything else you want, nothing else. Links to other chat models is your choice. The MBASE Feature (http://www.2much.net/mbase.php) which shares chat models between sites is completely up to the owner of the site, so you're free to use it or not.

Yep. I have to resize the pictures, but maybe will post some tomorrow from the show.

There were more EV's then just the "Volt". Kinda surprising by the number of them, and hybrids.

Barefootsies 01-25-2009 09:02 AM

There sure are a lot of cam companies based out of the Philippines.... :disgust

MoreMagic 01-25-2009 09:06 AM

Not from the Philippines and a good record.

Dmitry 01-28-2009 10:45 PM

Hello, please check out our services at http://www.online-webcam.net/ there are few sample links as well however not all. I can email other portfolio links by email.

Barefootsies 01-28-2009 10:48 PM

If you have a baseline online chat that looks, and works, like Yahoo chat... but I can add in webcam ability, free (small screen) and private/member/premium/pay (larger window) as well as an API for CCB/Verotel/etc..

Then you are who I wanna talk to.

Most who've contacted me have nothing remotely close to that.

Thanks bud. I appreciate it.

Yeah, some are insanely costly. My main thing is, I want the APPLICATION(S) only.

Not their models. Not their branding. Not their back door, upsells, etc.. I am basically looking for a Yahoo Chat with webcam support, and some other ad on's.

CIVMatt 01-29-2009 12:42 PM

Yeah check out 2much those guys have everything you need

doridori 01-29-2009 12:56 PM

you could get an open source solution and mod it to your liking.

or you can purchase standalone ones....but very expensive at least around 2k+

The $2000.00 is not a problem, as long as it can do, look like, and work like I want. So far most I have seen look like crap. Or they have all kinds of "co"branding, back doors to their network, and so on.

I do not want any of that.

I want to build my own, stand alone, network.

doridori 01-29-2009 01:18 PM

there are standalone ones. im pretty sure you've looked at em all.

take a look at this one. its open source. : http://osflash.org/red5

i haven't used it but it seems like it suppports live streaming.

Not all of them (yet). I have been going through some of the demo's this week as time allows. However, some of these are just complete...... um, not what I am looking for.

I'll leave it at that.

I'll take a peek at the link. I have not heard of that one yet.

doridori 01-29-2009 01:24 PM

it basically is a flash server, you would build on top of it to customize. basically best thing imo, is not start from scratch with the basic infrastructure functions. it would be very expensive.

also have you tried getafreelancer? good place get your components built. when i dont have time, i outsource a few components to some guys on there, they are very talented and tend to not bitch and moan.

Mutt 01-29-2009 01:27 PM

Red5 and Wowza are crap - go with the real thing, Flash.

Yeah, I have tried there in the past. Typically for smaller apps. I dunno if I would go there for anything in the thousands for development. Farfly may know some flash/java.

Just waiting to hear back from him. As well, I keep looking at the others out there in the meantime.

doridori 01-29-2009 09:28 PM

true. projects in several k is risky for that kind of site. i saw one a while back, but just can't remember the name of the turnkey webcam chat site.

Correct.

Even then, I would go to a Rent-A-Coder type of place where they vanish, flake out, do not complete to spec. You refuse payment in arbitration. I have had simple projects where it looked like MY first site some 11 years ago. I have had banners that look like garbage, and of course those that just flake out.

When you get into serious projects, I am leary of those sites.

HandballJim 01-29-2009 11:00 PM

I bet you can find someone to help you on http://www.scriptlance.com/ or http://guru.com/

Find freelancers at the world's largest online service marketplace. You just post what your looking for with your budget and people bid on the project. For payment I think you use an escrow type service and I suggest you ask for a demo before making payment.

What I like about these sites is that many of the programmers are from oversees and will work cheap.

true true. i got scammed once big time for a medium sized project.

anyhow, here is the webcam program i remembered. im pretty sure you've seen this one. it comes with flash source too so its editable.

If reliability and stability is important to you then you should have a look at www.nearlythere.net and I can also endorse Softservice mentioned earlier in the thread as another company that make good reliable and feature rich software.

quantum-x 01-30-2009 04:07 AM

Open source solutions exist.
I have one. I don't have time to install it or support it, but it's been in use on multiple sites for years now, ticking away perfectly.

We built several websites based on Red5 - no problems with it. Actually red5 has some issues - thats true, but it can be avoided.
