That's awesome. Yeah, the odds are pretty slim and yet, there's winners ever few weeks or so... so... you can just imagine the number of guesses being made from week to week.

Something is waaaaaay off with that RNG. I think that they are using the same RNG call to generate the "winning" numbers and then continuing on in to the "random" tickets. its showing 3000+ guesses for me right now and not even a single 3 number win.

Yeah I agree. My gf buys a powerball ticket a couple of times a month and quite often wins enough to buy more tickets. It's extremely rare that she doesnt match 1 number 100% of the time, and 2 or 3 numbers every other try or so.

yeah, that seems to be the case... I've seen it rifle through a few numbers in the first row that were in other rows and it didn't count them. Therefore this is heavily skewed.

there are people that have to habitually play every week fearing if they don't their numbers will come out that week. pretty dumb IMO, but you have the same luck with winning 1-2-3-4-5 as you do with 5 random numbers

You have me mixed up with someone else. Not sure who

previous poster is right, it is way skewed, it is looking for the numbers to be in a certain sequence, hence the # of mathces is much lower than it should be. Sequence matching should only apply to the bonus/powerball #, which is only a 1 to 1 match.

Dang - you beat me to it. That's the first thing I noticed. For a pick 6 with a powerball, only the powerball number matters. The other 5 can come in any order. If no powerball, order isn't relevant at all.

Anyway, for those who want to calculate properly, the real chances to win are 1:32468436 if the order doesn't matter, and 1:23377273920 if the order matters and the maximum elligible number is 56.

Oh, didn't know about the powerball, the estimate with powerball is a tad different in formula, real chances are: 1:194810616

I had 8 out of 10 on max. bet, on $1
if I had 10 I would have had 80K:(
40K on 9 out of 10
but 8 was nice too :)
