when you try and log in does it say "account disabled?" It may be from sending to many emails out at once (from the person who posted above) or worst case, you got shut down by google
a friend of mine fell for a phising scam to give his gmail addy and pass a while ago and someone mass spammed from his account and his account was shut down. He tried for days to get it back but they said no, but he could open another account.

I used to have a gmail account but it got hacked a couple of years ago. Whoever hacked it got into my Ebay and won about 100 auctions for TV's, projectors, laptops, etc. Then they changed my password, security question, etc. So I filled out Google's form for reporting hijacked accounts, gave them all my info and added in the comments bit that I would happily provide any personal info they needed, including info about the e-mails in my inbox and contacts etc, to prove that it was my account. Several days later they replied basically saying they weren't entirely sure it was my account so they weren't prepared to help me. I filled in the form a few more times over the following weeks but they never even replied. Thanks Google.Comment
