Did somebody steal our domain?
Or did we just forget to renew/miss a notice (unlikely) or whatever.
Most of our domains are on autorenew, so I was really pissed when an affiliate pointed our the banners were no longer working. I checked http://redsmiley.com/ and it is redirecting elsewhere now. How can i find out where I had registered it and till when? Also, i am trying to figure out where i registered a .co.uk name, any place i can easily check that? |
whois.sc maybe?
|
WhoIs.sc ?
It says : --------------------------------------- Whois Record Registration Service Provided By: NameCheap.com Contact: Visit: http://www.namecheap.com/ Domain name: redsmiley.com Registrant Contact: Inpresif Paul de Lange () Fax: Postbus 942 Leiden, S 2300 AX NL Administrative Contact: Inpresif de Lange () +31.651524964 Fax: Postbus 942 Leiden, S 2300 AX NL Technical Contact: Inpresif Paul de Lange () +31.651524964 Fax: Postbus 942 Leiden, S 2300 AX NL Status: Locked Name Servers: dns1.name-services.com dns2.name-services.com dns3.name-services.com dns4.name-services.com dns5.name-services.com Creation date: 01 Jan 2007 10:14:16 Expiration date: 01 Jan 2009 10:14:16 |
Fuck me, no idea who this name-services.com is. I guess we're no longer eligable to re-get it for 8.88$ ;-)
|
namecheap does no longer list it in our list of names.
|
We have everything on auto-renew there as well and funds enough in the account. Fuck.
|
Whois Server: whois.enom.com
??? |
Its done. There is a re-activate domains link on the left, there were two domains in there we must have missed somehow.
Any takers on checking .co.uk whois/registrar info? |

Hmm, tried it at enom. Weird stuff, i have this name for ages:
It is registered at http://www.ascio.com and i have no clue who these people are. I have to get organized with all these domains, lol. How do people with over 1000 names do it? |

One way they do it is to register their most valuable domains for the 10 year maximum. Many domain owners are cheap, and only register for a year or two, in which case domain expiration becomes more likely. :2 cents: |
The other suggestion I would make is to consolidate all of your domains at one great secure registrar, such as:
http://www.moniker.com :thumbsup |
if you are positive you had it on autorenew, what does namecheap say about it?
