Any programs out there to help with internet disconnecting?

I am in dom republic playing online poker and the internet goes out every little bit, is there any program out there i can download that will do anything to help, like boost the internet connect, notify me when it goes out, etc?

hardly, thats either a hardware problem or your isp sucks.
or maybe even some spyware/trojan.virus in ur computer messin with ya
u should submit a support ticket to your isp and see what they found out (after sending tech to your place)

icq will keep your connection live if you are on a dialup that auto disconnects you when there is no packets being sent after a set amount of time.

as far as telling if you are online you could make a simple html page that refreshes an iframe then place it as your desktop background

as far as not dropping off to begin with , what kinda hardware are you working with

many isp's have an idle limit , like 30 mins so if the connection is idle for 30mins it drops you

do this.... IN THIS ORDER

unplug modem
unplug router

go to the computer
go to RUN:
type IPCONFIG/RELEASE
then IPCONFIG/RENEW

then plug your modem back in ...
take a pen and hold the RESET button for 30 seconds on the modem
then take a pen hold the RESET button for 30 seconds on the router
...Reset computer
