Personally, I think she is slightly nuts.

It was 80+ here today, while it was -40 at her house.

Currently, it is 57 here and 1 there (feels like -15)

Why would she fly back home to that?

Mutt 01-16-2009 11:11 PM

because it's ............ home. there'd be nobody left in any of the northeast and midwest if it was all about the temperature. slowly though it is happening.

Because she has a big log at home to keep her fire hot.

Juicy D. Links 01-17-2009 08:46 AM

it is 6 degrees here i hate winter

escorpio 01-17-2009 09:19 AM

One Indiana winter was enough for me and it was back to Arizona. I don't know why people would choose to live like that.

I fail to understand why anyone would live in a place where it snows. I just don't get it.

I grew up in NJ; We got snowed in for days every year. Every year I shoved out the concrete path, plowed the drive way. I loved the snow when I was a kid, but there ain't no fucking way I'm gonna spend hours shoveling fucking snow.

seeandsee 01-17-2009 03:22 PM

The same thing is said about people that live here in AZ. How can we live in 115 degree weather in the summer? I always love to go back home and sleep in my own bed. My dogs are there, and all of my stuff. Granted I would not want to live in weather that cold, but a lot of people love the cold.

I like the cold, but this single digit bullshit is just unnecessary.

It has been double digits there, just in the negative . . . which I don't know why they bother measuring. Once it gets to a certain point it should just be labeled "fucking cold."

goodgirl 01-18-2009 01:06 AM

It is freezing.

Yeah, it dropped to 55 here. I may have to light a fire. :)

Mutt 01-18-2009 01:44 AM

i love the 4 distinct seasons - the sights, the sounds, the smells - each season has its charms and its drawbacks.

i would take a cold winter over a brutally hot Arizona or Texas summer any day. Dress the right way and a cold day isn't so bad, depending on how long you have to be outside. With brutal heat - there's no way to deal with it - take off all your clothes and it won't help much. only refuge is indoors A/C or a pool.
