Thanks to everyone who tried to explain it to me (and the fools/trolls for bumping the thread). I was surprised to learn what I wanted was impossible and I hated the idea of futures so I settled for USO. I only invested half of what I was considering but I feel pretty good about it. Got it at 30.03.

I read about that. I wish the article had explained the nuts and bolts more. What was the value of the oil that could be held by the super tanker? How much does the tanker cost? How long can they hold the oil until there is a problem, etc?
Obviously, I mean I wish they had explained it better because it was neat.... not because I can get in on it.Comment
