Acacia DMT Patents
I got a letter from these scumbags at "Acacia". They seem to think they have a patent on the internet. There have been alot of threads about them but nobody followed up to say how it worked out in the end. Did you pay them or tell them to fuck off ?

Totally missed this one...who are these people?
|
Agreed, isn't DMT a really cool drug? *twitch*

I got the letter and made a lil thread here about it as well. After a little thought and pondering. I faxed them a letter asking for proof they held the technology rights behind WMV, and how I a distributor could be liable for giving away a zip file that contained a video made with that format.
I also informed them that a copy of the letter and my reply was sent to microsoft asking if they indeed held the patents behind windows media player video streaming. Havent heard a word since then from them. |
Homegrown Content got the same letter.
We are considering organizing a group defense/response. Currently contacting other content providers to see who wants to join forces. Contact [email protected] if interested. Thanks, Homegrownmof |
The more people I talked to, the more it seems like if you ignore them they go away. It could be a bad move to actually respond and let them know they have a fish on the hook. Im half tempted to call some people about it but its probably best thrown away.
