I've read about that "Theory" about 12-24 months ago in a Scientific magazine, and as I see it's still just a well founded speculation, not a fact....

Basically, they've extended previous observations of methane to pockets of methane. They have no idea though how it's produced.

However, grant time is in March, so always a good time to whet the politicians' appetites....
