Internet billing services --

I currently run with ccbill; their service and reliability is good -- however after all their processing fees and such, more than 25% of the gross sales goes to ccbill... it really bites.

Now I have been contacted by comanies like http://www.netbilling.com/ and such which have far lower processing fees. Question is, I wish to keep quality customer service for members and such, and does these other sites really have lower quality services or parameters? I hear many are moving to globill for example.

Any comments or opinions?

From my experience ccbill has been horrible as far as sales & rebills.

Ibill works great.

ibill/ccbill/epoch all offer services that do not require you to have a merchant account (hence the 11-15% fee).

Netbilling helps you get a merchant and process transactions through your merchant (that's why fees are lower), however you have to REALLY monitor your CB% because once you go over a threshold you can lose the merchant and get on the TMF (never be able to bill again).

Then again, you have to watch your CB% with ibill/ccbill too .. so where's the benefit :-/

Since I'm new to this business, when you say ccbill is horrible with sales/rebills, what do you mean? Somehow there are problems with sales & rebills?
I do get a lot of people who try to sign on and get the 'transaction denied due to...' and so on.

Scrubbing motherfuckers!

I think what he means is exactly what's happening to you.
For some webmasters certain companies work better than others 'cause they have more slaes and rebills.
This is due in part to the policies of each company (and the way they handle the actual billing and rebilling).

Best thing to do is have at least two processors. And put Ccbill as alternate or get rid of it all together if you're getting all those denials.

So recommendations?

Ibill? Globill? other? I chose ccbill because it was one of the largest companies, and it happens to have its corporate office only a few miles away from me.

More input please :)))

Hey there,

If you go with Netbilling you can still offer your members excellent customer service for way less than the 3rd party billing companies charge. They take care of it for ya. Plus with the new Visa regulations there is really no reason not to get your own merchant acoount. Just my :2 cents:

You're a little too pushy on the boards Mitch.

Im sure that if i'd write a processing related
question on a post-it note and stick it to my desk
your number would appear instantly..

well if you want to go with your own merchant account then yes netbilling is great I know many who use them.

But if you want to go the third party route CCBill is the way to go, I tried so many billers (not ProBilling lol)

Yes they scrub but what good does it do not to scrub and then end up with a chargeback.

I also found that Im getting way more affiliates to signup under ccbill

Plus never any stories about:

NSF checks because they changed banks
Account closed checks
Wire was by mistake sent somewhere else
Accounting is at lunch
We are moving offices so checks are late
Its an error on your server not ours
Long hold times

They are just ontime and always quick to help those are facts.

Wow. Hey, you know, your site looks really nice. The only problem I'm having with it from here is that it doesn't load very quickly. Maybe it's just a temporary connectivity issue, I'm not sure. But if it loads slow that may be a cause for cancellations.

Are you allowed to customize the actually ccbill affiliate sign-up pages? They're ugly and barren. I also hate the fact that it doesn't send you your password after you join a ccbill affilate program.

But besides those small issues ccbill is a great processor.
