I remember when I started in this game many years ago. Back then most webmasters still had the thought about how to make sales. Give the surfer softcore only and make them visit the hardcore sponsor. Less was more back then.

Alot of things have changed since then. Today you can find free fulltime stream hardcore movies, stolen or not does not matter, they are out there anyway.

Am I the only one who still belive in less is more? Give the surfer softcore, fuck dont even give them pussy. And then have hardcore sponsors on your pages. The hardcore is not here, its at my sponsors.

And people wonder why conversions sucks these days. :disgust

Simple version:

To gain a competitive edge over other webmasters, people switched from softcore picture galleries to hardcore picture galleries. To gain a competitive edge over those webmasters, other webmasters switched from picture galleries to movie galleries. To gain a competitive edge over those webmasters, yet other webmasters switched from movie galleries to tubes.

Giving away more than the competition nets you extra traffic. However, the competition will always catch up.

i think when such places like toms newbie booster and other newbie sites where other people actually were motivated to help and most all newcomers would flock to either closed up or just got forgotten by generation 3 or so of adult affiliates shit started to go to hell

Well without putting too fine a point on it. There is a sponsor I promote who thinks exactly like you do, and not surprisingly enough, I make the most money from their program and that program has the best ratios. Go figure, I'm doing about 1:550 off TGP traffic to their sites and i'm not doing anything different for this traffic that i'm sending to other programs, other than I can't use any hardcore or use anything other than what's provided in the affiliate promo area.

To be honest I think it's the early webmasters who were affiliates who turned into program owners, thinking that more is better and who were making money hand over fist no matter WHAT content was out there. So someone dumb fuck gets the idea that if I show a few hardcore scenes I can get more bookmarkers.... etc etc... then next webmaster see what's going on and one ups them... so on and so forth, and now we have tubes and go knows what basically showing everything you could ever want.

The old ways of marketing are no good (if you want to call it "marketing"), just putting up a crappy page with some pics and pointing to a join page doesn't work anymore. Those people will get phased out. Today it's all about bigger is better... free sites need to be massive to attract and retain bookmarkers, you need to have the latest new content, and most importantly, you need to cater to every micro niche there is. Vanilla content just doesn't convert anymore.

2009 for me is building and working hard to have the biggest free sites I can make without becoming full time. Good luck out there :)

The process was started in this direction buy "illegal" sites showing more and more
unlicensed content. They took the traffic and webmasters stepped it up to take
the traffic back.

Now it's the illegal tube that makes all the other sites add more content.

Yeah it pisses me off. The sponsors them self killed this industry by handing out to much content. Well guess I will work on the old fashion way. There are still people out there that dont know how to find hardcore the free way. They are not many, but enough.
