Got a huge service done to my ZX-7 today and it is just awesome. Went for a 1hr ride wherever just to ride.

God love California!

I use to race for Team Kawasaki in the 750 production class and have been riding since I was 16 so it's easier to not kill myself when I know what to look for on the street.

The last time I was in an accident on the street was 1989 when a guy ran a stop sign on me. I hit his passenger door doing 35 mph. I was 10 minutes away from death when they got me to the hospital. Long story short... I went through a long road to get back to normal but....

I'm 100% now and I do not forget that day, every-time I get on my bike and how close to death I was.... but I won't let the actions of others stop me from doing what I love.

I had a ZX-7 in the 90's :thumbsup I love riding. I have also owned Suzuki GSX-Rs and Honda CBRs My last bike was a CBR 900rr. That was my 13th bike. I think next I will get a Harley Fatboy. I am more in the cruising mode these days :)

Have fun with it :thumbsup

I had never had a motorcycle accident so I've been lucky. Once I drove my bike all the way from Phoenix down into Mexico. What a blast that was.

Funny thing happened... The day I bought my current car was the last day I rode my bike. I kept it for another six months, it collected dust, so I sold it. And that was that.

cook if you have to share some photos

Sweet old school bike! :) I had a FZ750 and an FZR1000 before owning a few GSXRs. A lot of fun, but these days for some reason I prefer fast cars instead. I must be getting old... :1orglaugh

Semi-Retired-Dave 01-11-2009 12:16 AM

Been riding for over 25 years. My brother Gary and I were known as the Wheelie Kings in our town for a long time. Can't not have a bike. It's in the blood.

Zeroquest 01-11-2009 12:19 AM

Doesn't your back get sore riding like that for extended periods of time? I've thought about getting one and that's always why I back out. Just doesn't look comfortable...

doridori 01-11-2009 12:34 AM

man i would just like to rip it up in one of those. i wouldnt use it often cuz when you do get in accidents, in a car you are okay but in one of those, end of story.

On a trip from Phoenix to LA once I got pulled over on my bike. I had pulled over on an off ramp that lead to no where. ( There was an off ramp and an on ramp, but no road leading to anywhere.) I had pulled over for a smoke, and I punched the bike and by the time I hit the freeway I was doing 120 mph or so - right in front of a CHP car. Opps. They asked me "Were you taking a break because of your back?" Fuck no jackass; I was having a smoke.

I never had problems riding my sport bike for long periods.

Here's a picture of my old bike with a Lightspeed girl on on it....

I was crossing a street one time and a guy came BACKING DOWN THE STREET and nailed me. that's something you don't look for everyday :)

I never had back issues on long distance sport bike rides, but I did with my wrists, the riding position really forces your weight forward.

MediumPimpin 01-11-2009 01:12 PM
