Who can possibily help me with this...???

I'm trying to help a friend of mine transfer a domain from one registrar to another....the only problem is that my friend can't recall where he initially went to register it..and now that he's trying to transfer it..he's being asked by the new hosting company to get in touch with the registrar to have them release the name server...
(I'll tell you know this is one area where I really don't know it all)

The domain name is savrecords.com

When I do a whois at say directnic.com, I'm told that the registrar has 'locked it'???? I guess to prevent domain hijacking or whatever the term is..

So, what would be the best course of action here?

Thanks,

Tek Art

He registered only a month ago...You usually have to wait 90 days to transfer.

I would talk with the registrar you want to do business with and see what they can do.

Why transfer to a different registrar? just ask them to change dns info.
