Marketing is marketing - dont get me wrong, but I think Larry Flynt is making a big mistake teaming up with Joe Francis. If he wanted to team up with someone that appealed to the younger college crowd, he could at least have picked Raven Riley or even Ashley Alexandra Dupre

I don't mind the "amount" - the problem is the "kind of" controversy. Questionable age, alcohol, questionable rights... I don't think its someone you want standing next to you when asking for public funding. No matter how much of a joke it is or isn't.

i see what you're saying, but keep in mind the companies asking for cash are the mr. quzillion-commission-cheques-guys, and companies that build shit pieces of machinery that can very liberally be related to directly causing death in order to 'save a buck'

Joe Francis obviously isn't going to be happy until the Feds put him in prison for good. He's got a date with a judge soon on major tax evasion charges. He's just begging for the harshest sentence they can give him.

last time he was in prison he was in tears crying for him mommy and that they took away his Xanax and whatever other gay medications he is on.

Larry Flynt is an icon. Joe Francis is an overgrown frat boy who doesn't pay his bills and can't stay out of jail. Seems like a good deal for Joe and a crap deal for Larry.

i dont joe was a good choice but i dont think models are a good idea either.say the owner of another big company without a mountain of drama.

I think its a crap deal for Larry and a crap deal for the industry, because a lot of people will see him as a representative now, and that is something I believe we would be better off without.

Yeah, I guess being an unknown like Larry Flynt it is probably good to have someone like Francis to introduce you to everyone.

Sarcasm withstanding, Francis is not an unknown himself. I don't think more publicity is a bad thing, for this kind of venture, so my take is "the more the merrier."

Not sure many others that have the kind of mainstream notoriety that Francis has, that would also be up for this kind of campaign.

Not many people are as notable as Francis in the public eye, and I can't think of anyone else that would be up for it. Seems like a no-brainer for him to be beside Flynt on this project.

Nobody knows who the hell Joe Francis is, other than people in this Business and the mass anti-porn nut cases of course, oh and the legal system.

Flynt played hardball with the Gov, I give him respect for that. But him teaming up with Francis makes me question the sanity of Flynt.

Sorry, but I feel you are being extremely influenced by the industry you are in. Everyone may know what GGW is, but I bet very few have a clue who Francis is or who that guy in the commercial is.

The only no-brainer about it is that if a government agency wants an easy target, Francis fits that bill. Takes any heat off Flynt. :2 cents:

I think comparing Francis to Flynt, is like comparing Miley Cyrus to Angelina Jolie.

If you ask a person who does not work in porn, a lot of them do know who Larry Flynt is. Most people have no idea that Joe Francis is from GGW. They know he went to jail for something. Flynt is way more well known.
