Men & Women naked together in public baths? Guess which country...

So I had time to kill before a flight tonight and spent the afternoon at the world famous http://www.friedrichsbad.eu/home/en/roemisch.html in Baden Baden, and feel like a new man.:winkwink:

To Germans, mixed sex public nakedness ok, unthinkable in UK lol

They only get sexually excited when there is poo and rubber outfits present - not the same.

Can I bring my child with me?
Children between the age of 7 and 14 years are allowed into the bath when accompanied by an adult but they have to pay the full entrance fee. The sauna area may only be used from the age of 14 years (accompanied by an adult up to the age of 16).

We offer a child care service outside the bathing area with trained personnel for children from the age of 18 months. Here, your children can play and try out the various toys and games with others.

Kinderparadies opening times:
daily, 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. (closed on 24/25 December)
Price: 4.00 ? per child

Now that's open minded.... or something.. I don't really know what yet.

What are the rape and sexual predator statistics like in countries that are more open about nudity?

I'd be interested in hearing actual facts, but I'm going to guess they are lower. It's probably the same as the rate of underage drug use and drinking in countries where drugs and drinking are allowed more than the U.S. - there's less abuse, because it isn't "taboo".

I do go to nude beaches when I get the chance, and you'd be amazed at how different the experience is than you expect. It's more about freedom than nudity, and I believe the same would apply to the places mentioned in this thread.

Freedom does not lead to rape.

According to http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cr...pes-per-capita , Germany ranks #24 with 0.0909731 rapes per 1,000 people. Top of list : South Africa.

The problem with those stats is that rape is one of the most underreported crimes there are, and it's bound to be even more underreported in countries where women's rights aren't protected.

For example, is Saudi Arabia really the countries with the lowest number of rapes? Or do women simply not report it because they would be punished severely, despite being the victim, if people found out?

Generally speaking there is a coherence between pornographic material and sexual crimes. The easier porn is accessable, the less sexual crimes are reported. There are many academic sources about porn /sexual crime which include a society´s attitude to nakedness, but I´m not aware of one which excluded porn.

Here are some sources with excerpts.

Yeah, guess it's just a British thing then. Could never see it happening there. The Brits are a bit prudish when it comes to nudity...
