I'm very happy with my speakers, my wifey got them for me for Christmas a few years ago and I'm still using them today -

I don't think they make the 5.1 pro medias any more, so I'll throw in another set of speakers that I've heard before and they're also pretty kick ass, the Logitceh Z5500 5.1 http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/sp...=us,ensurround sound

I'm probably thinking that either set is probably way more than you're looking for though, ha ha ha.

creative is nice check logitech they have a nice 5.1 system

Only 2.1, but they sound really great on an x-fi soundcard. If the sub is corner loaded, it can pound like a monster (a relatively small monster).

if you want something light weight but still great sound and bass go with BOSE :)

I have those too they are amazing for the price and considering they are only 2.1.

logitech is good

its hard to get in the US since most stores sell MS stuff but both the mouses they sell and the speakers are good, those 2.1 have a great sound I know, worth every penny

Yep I have some good logitech's. The standard speaker in my lappy really sux, it is way too soft.

I'm happy without my computer speakers, because now I use headphones. :) Made in China, but sound good.

these kick some major ass. I can wear them around the garden when mowing the lawn and the sound is crisp and clear - and we've got a big garden.

I've had these for years but I think it's time for an upgrade.

I recommend Bose Companion® 3. Picked mine up at Sams Club about $200. I'm very happy with them.

I got the Bose Companion 5. They work really good. First speakers that made me wish my music was encoded higher. Never really noticed with the cheap headphones I had before.
