Epassporte new withdrawal option

Anyone see this? It's cheaper than international wire transfers and with lower limits, I think the minimum was $2K to request a wire.

Kickass!

A fee of US$5.00, or 1% of the total amount being withdrawn, will apply to the withdrawal, whichever is greater.

I just got Epass again after giving up on them for a while due to all of the security problems they were having. How long are they taking now to transfer money directly to your bank account?

When I transfer from Epass to my US checking account, it takes exactly 2 business days.

Wow, they really sped it up then. I remember it taking a week or more a year or so ago. Thanks!

Took 3 days for me to get money to my swedish visa card through this method.

LB-69 01-06-2009 10:15 PM

Fee of 1% is expensive, it will cost 100$ for the 10K transfer, that with in case of wire transfer the cost is 35$ i think.

So you already knew of this feature and didn't tell us anything? :winkwink:

Anyways, thanks for the info, 3 days is not bad at all.

Sure wires will be more cost effective if you feel safe having over 5K there, but if you want to withdraw 1K here, 2K there, this new option is nice. And I believe the wire fee is more than $35 (maybe $50?)

papill0n 01-06-2009 11:51 PM

seems like a nice option

KillerK 01-06-2009 11:53 PM

Does this mean to your regular mastercard? Does that just give you a credit balance then on your card? Or pay down what you owe?

Violetta 01-07-2009 12:38 AM

epass rocks!

sex69 01-07-2009 01:38 AM

Yes, it is cost effective for small amounts.

Michael O 01-07-2009 01:58 AM

We have added Master Card to the withdrawal option it should takes 2-3 business days for the credit to show up on your card.
The fee for wire transfers is $50
If you have any questions about this please send me a email to [email protected]

Michael O 01-07-2009 02:27 AM

Withdrawing to bank accounts varies a lot it depends on the bank we still say up to 7 business days because thats the maximum amount of time it will take but most Account Holders see the withdrawal a lot quicker.

How does it come into your card? As a refund or?

Is this a regular visa bank card, or a Visa Creditcard?

JamesK 01-07-2009 03:59 AM

I think ePassporte is doing a great job lately. Improved security, withdrawals etc

tranza 01-07-2009 05:52 AM

Completely rocks!

Miguel T 01-07-2009 06:00 AM

czarina 01-07-2009 06:24 AM

that's awesome!

spunky99 01-07-2009 12:37 PM

its such a great feature they felt they had to email me 6 times about it :/

seeandsee 01-07-2009 12:42 PM

nice addition!

sumz 01-07-2009 12:56 PM

Yes, it is great feature, takes two days to get money credited on card here.

Tickler 01-07-2009 12:57 PM

Not sure why it has to be manually setup though. Like to I have to waste an hour long distance with support again.

It only took me about 30 secs. to setup my MC debit card with my bank account online.

Epass is pretty good, although they like to make surprise from time to time...like changing your PIN :1orglaugh

OneWhoKnows 01-07-2009 01:16 PM

Nice one. Already used the withdrawal to my personal VISA a couple of times, transfers usually took between 2-5 business days. Very cool that I can send money to my MasterCard aswell now. Great move! :thumbsup

I really like the new ePass features. Would like it even more though if you'd finally add more security to P2P transfers like transaction numbers or at least e-mail confirmation :2 cents:

Yep, it's been at 2 days for me for quite a while. It seems like when I first got my account in 2005 or something, it took longer, maybe 5 business days. It just changed out of the blue. I've been using the same bank account at Wells Fargo from the beginning. It seems like WF has gotten faster with transfers overall as overseas wires that used to take 5-7 days to credit now usually only take one or even happen almost instantly at times. So maybe the speed increase is on WF end instead of epass, I dunno.

Rather deal with that than having my money stolen :thumbsup
