Regarding the Incredible Dollars drama from last month..

So last month I made a post about Incredible Dollars because their billing practices sucked.

Canceling did nothing and told you that you were canceled. I received a charge for something even though I unchecked all pre-checked cross sales...

They refunded me all of my monies...

Now I am getting spam to the address I created just for this experiment. LOADS OF SPAM!!!

So.. Dear sponsors, these accounts are spamming. If you choose to do nothing you will end up like Nasty Dollars, BangBros and a host of other affiliates who chose to do nothing and ended up paying millions to settle...

Meat Cash: NTA3NTQ5OjExODoyNQ
Sexbank Roll: NjY2MzoxMDI6MTc2
Flashcash: MjUyMzE4OjU6NDE
Maximum Cash: nameless

Of course it wouldn't surprise me if the affiliate was I$ themselves...

holy shitsicles

Machete_ 01-06-2009 04:03 PM

I'm sorry
We are having some NATS problem at the moments, due to our upgrade - TMM would confirm that.
I'm however afraid the script is so heavily modified that TMM dont understand it, but they will back us up because we are Bro's - mkay?

See, the thing is, when you wanted to cancel, due to a error in the script we could not foresee, your email was automatically added to the "lets spam the shit out of this a-hole" list.

The two incidents are however totally unrelated, and anyone with half a brain would understand

... our team of sheepherders are looking in to it

Now, who ordered a beer and chopperride?

if you created the e-mail adress only for the purpose of joining an I$ site.... then..... well.....

JustDaveXxx 01-06-2009 05:14 PM

Wow!! V Rock is a pretty strait up guy and i would value and believe what he is saying.

Things like that make people not want to give their personal information to any online company.

BVF 01-06-2009 05:16 PM

when a customer signed up with an email like [email protected] , I knew that the customers are getting very wary of it also...

LeRoy 01-06-2009 05:24 PM

My Oh my. Thats just wonderful.

Do They sell my surfer info to spammers? That would be shady as fuck.

They are committing credit card fraud, selling e-mails to spammers is nothing for them.

If what you say is true and they are OK with committing fraud, why would they bother selling the emails to spammers. Think they would be affraid of spamming but not CC fraud?

fris 01-06-2009 07:50 PM

sorry samson was on vacation all last week, so we were unaware that he had spyware installed on his pc, and automatically sent the emails with those affiliate codes generated from our server db.

this wont happen again

SteveHardeman 01-06-2009 08:24 PM

Hearing this shit is very frustrating for legitimate companies trying to make honest money.

VIPimp 01-06-2009 08:27 PM

I joined a site of a similar program not too long ago... and the email I used is getting raped!

spacedog 01-06-2009 08:46 PM

I$ probably has their ass covered in the TOS, etc making the mailing Can-Spam compliant

Tempest 01-06-2009 09:21 PM

Clearly V_RocKs MUST have a virus on his computer... It couldn't be I$ or just one more instance of a NATs program having their emails "stolen"... :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

I don't think they give a shit about Can-Spam. This is a group that has already been brought up on charges for scams involving credit repair schemes. They are actively committing credit card fraud in my opinion based on my experience signing up for one of their sites. If you're going to just break laws left and right, who gives a shit about one more?

CAN-SPAM is an American law & the people operating most of these programs are outside of the U.S. Sucks that they get to do it & we don't as American citizens. But that's how legislation like this works....it fucks over legit U.S. businesses & does nothing to stop the spam mail problem.

Also....e-mail marketing to your own canceled members database is a vital part of almost every major programs business model. So long as they have a remove link & contact information on every e-mail, i see nothing wrong with it.....AT ALL (so long as the advertisement does not include pornographic images or text as soon as you open it....like BAM in your face) :2 cents:

I believe that the best thing we as webmasters can do....is to not engage in these activities ourselves. (LEAD BY EXAMPLE INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING) I also think its important to not post about these issues, as it simply gives ideas to other up & coming programs looking to make a quick shady buck.

I would contact the program owners & billing companies/hosts....& leave it at that. Bringing these issues to GFY is counterproductive IMO :2 cents:

fris 01-07-2009 05:31 AM

Usally robbie is in I$ threads sticking up for them, where is he

Shouldn't we also be leading by example by not doing business with these pieces of shit? :Graucho

bobby666 01-07-2009 05:47 AM

nats causes sooo many problems lately

StuartD 01-07-2009 05:50 AM

I could give you a very long list of sponsors who've sold their email lists. When I had my resource site, I signed up to nearly 1000 sponsors with a different email addy for each and sure enough... a LOT of those addresses started getting a lot of spam.

MrDeiz 01-07-2009 07:11 AM

thx. deleted i$ from Signbucks Daily database
