Russians claim their drinking prowess is a 'myth'
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph...a_1215562c.jpg
Russians may be in the midst of a collective post-New Year's hangover, but Moscow's chief physician has come out to say that it's an undeserved myth that Russians drink more than most people. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...is-a-myth.html |
Liars.......

this is true... after it becomes water to them they give up :2 cents:

They drink a whole bottle without burping because they don't want to lose

all people drink alcohol and it doesn't depend on nation..
I've always been interested who invented that Russians drink more than others??? and it's very curious that most of them who say it have never been to Russia :) |

The World Health Organisation rates the country as one of the most alcoholic in the world. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2007...russia.science Irochka, i think we both know Russians consume a shit load of vodka on a regular basis. No other way to sugar coat that. |

Don't think that's true. The Irish and British do binge drink (which is a major problem for both countries), but Russians seems to drink more socially. You'd never see a vodka bottle on an Irish or British dinner table, but it's common enough in Russia. Russians will eat and drink at the same time, which we don't.... so I guess that allows them to absorb more. |

Russian Cocktails
Check this article out for some fun Russian cocktails :)
http://www.viceland.com/int/v13n4/htdocs/russian/7.jpg Rose Water Your grandma probably used a rose water-based lotion to keep her saggy skin from turning into elephant hide. But if your grandfather?or you, for that matter?happened to be Russian, it?s doubtful grandma?s rose water-based spritz would have lasted long in the bathroom cabinet. The greatest advantage to drinking a bottle of rozovaya voda lotion was that, unlike so many other cocktails, this one was ready-to-serve. Sort of like Smirnoff Ice. All you had to do was locate a bottle of rozovaya voda, open the lid, tip it back into your mouth, and guzzle the lotion down. That?s right?drink the tangy lotion straight. No clever little gimmicks. Just rank lotion pouring down your throat on a hot summer?s day. All you needed was one or two good hits of rozovaya voda and the warm fuzzy buzz takes over your whole persona until, you, slowly, fade, away, into the rosy abyss... of... nothingness. |

Ireland is not in the UK. :2 cents: |
I was over in Russia for 4 weeks in 1996 and I had a great time!! They are the nicest funniest people ever, crazy but funny. Great people, great, food and great vodka. I have never been soooo drunk in my life. I went to my ex-girlfriend's dad's friend's place and hung out drinking moonshine vodka!! He had the "still" in his laundry room. OMG!! I do not remember to much of that trip but anyone that says that Vodka is not part of everyday life in Russia for a large percentage of the population is either lying or has never been there.
