health gurus and diet now-it-alls. I need advices

Ok... so the new year is upon us. And like 80% of all the people I just made up, we're looking for ways to cut back on our unhealthy lifestyle.

What do you do to loose weight and "LOOK" healthy.

Here's the problem. I really don't plan on working out (just yet), but I would like to start loosing weight, and body fat. Aside from reducing my intake of butterfinger's to just one or two a day, what else can I do to loose weight?

Again, I'm not looking for a major lifestyle change I'm busy enough with all the shit I have to do n a day, adding a 3 hour work out regimen is sort of out of the question.

So what can I do to feel full all the time, but still be eating super healthy?

Anyone got any special recipes? Or any health food that actually tastes good? Or any advice? (Or for the foreigners), advices?

Well first off, completly cut out the butter fingers lol.

Second, I'm sure you can find an Hour a day, three or four times a week to hit the gym.

You don't have to do a major lifestyle change or a major workout routine to improve your health, just start out by doing basic stuff. If you cut back on any of the unhealthy foods you eat, that alone will play a good part.

Instead of having three sodas a day, have one. That alone is 1500 calories a week and the water you replace the soda with is infinitely better and you will soon be feeling much better. You will even find your self craving water instead of soda.

Here's the gig. I have been in a lot of these threads and everyone has their "OMG do this" post.

I went on Atkins and I lost 140lbs over 1.5 years. That worked for me. However it was TERRIBLE for my health. But I was morbidly obese and my doctor said just LOSE it or you're going to die young. So I did whatever I could do.

Ongoing, I have had issues in the last 3 years being consistent since getting married. I was training heavily in 2004 and was in the best shape of my life. Then I met my wife and food became a BIG part of our social life. I have since gained a lot of weight back.

I made a decision about 2 weeks ago to follow my original plan. Do whatever is comfortable on my terms to lose weight.

That means ABSOLUTELY nothing with added sugar. NOTHING with preservatives. NOTHING with added sodium. Essentially I am completely removing fast food, packaged food, and all the manufactured foods. Sadly I am also giving up cow (for 2 reasons). No more milk or beef due to added horomones and the other benefit, cows produce 28% of greenhouse gasses on earth. Cows are just BAD for the world and people in general in their current antibody/horomone filled form.

So I am essentially going vegan with chicken and seafood in my diet. I switched to SOY milk (and I have to be honest I was afraid to try it for the first time a week ago... but when I sipped it I loved it), organic chicken, fresh seafood, fresh fruit and I shop now every day or two in small quantities. I also eat 6 small meals a day.

Here's the kicker: I exercise when I feel like it. Sometimes I just don't WANT to sweat. I am not trying to be ripped or athletic I just want to be healthy. So if I want to run I do it. As my energy levels come up from ditching the shit food I will add more exercise to my routines.

Until then I will do whatever I feel like that fits MY life and eating habits to get where I need to be.

Note: Before doing this, have an idea of your BMR and recommended daily intake of fat/carb/protein and plan meals and food around that.

I need to add, I am a supplement junky. If I can't satisfy my protein in a day I supplement with Whey by making a berry shake. I also fill my fats by taking flax/omega and I have a healthy supply of bcaa and glutamine for workouts. I also drink a creatine shake before bed to keep my metabolism running 24/7
